We have used Bowenhurst Kennels for over 9 years. The first time we left our dog I was very anxious, and the staff didn't mind me checking how she was doing! Cora has stayed here at least once a year ever since - she doesn't look back when we leave her and comes home happy, healthy and clean. I highly recommend Bowenhurst Kennels.

Not long home, having left my dogs at the kennels for a week. I was so anxious about leaving them. I haven’t done so before. I can honestly say that the staff were brilliant, putting up with my non stop phone calls and my need for reassurance. :) One of the boys is a real worrier and a fussy eater. They really went above and beyond to make sure he was happy, relaxed and well fed. It was so nice to see how comfortable they were with the kennel staff. Happy and bouncy. Such a huge weight off my mind.

This was our first time leaving our one year old French Bulldog Molly in a kennel. Bowenhurst Kennels I recommend highly. The owner and all the staff really look after them really well. Molly was settled and happy all the time she was there and when we collected her she was happy to see us. Thank you so much for looking after her so well we will definitely be returning again 😊

My puss, Elsie, seemed well pleased when I collected her. I asked her to tell me if she had any complaints and she said 'Me, 'ow?', so I am assuming everything was ok. The staff seem to be a caring bunch, which is reassuring.

THE first week I left my furry baby here and I must say it is the best kennel I have ever known. My dog ​​is not stressed or angry with me like at other kennels. From now on this is going to be my kennel par excellence since both the workers and the environment and place are admirable. My baby, Happy, has been super well and very happy and in the best hands and super well taken care of and this can be seen as soon as I see my dog. I recommend this kennel 100%. If you are only looking and want the best for your fur babies, look no further, this kennel is undoubtedly the best.

I cant say enough good things about Penny and her team, they are amazing. My 3 hooligans have been staying at Bowenhurst for a few years now and love it. They get excited when we arrive which tells me their happy to be there and always come home fit, healthy and happy. A real pets retreat 😄

Our Beagle has stayed here many times ove the past years . He is always happy to go and comes away happy. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and clearly love the dogs .

We left our gorgeous dog here for just over a week. Picked him up with him in clear distress and discomfort crying and rubbing his face along the floor. Large wet patch on face. The lady told me “Oh I think he has an ear infection I just use this powder it should sort it!” I said don’t you think it needs veterinary attention she replied “ maybe” When I got him home he was traumatised with pain on inspection I could instantly tell he had a huge hotspot on his face and ear problems. Vet visit today has cost me £800 I realise hotspots grow fast but he definitely needed veterinary attention and for this I feel he was neglected in a way I find unacceptable. Never again!

Fantastic kennels, Penny and the team take such good care of our boy, Rufus. Very professional and friendly, we have total peace of mind when we take him there. He goes in happy and comes out happy, highly recommend!

Visited initially to see if it would be suitable for our dog, very clean, well maintained and professional site. After boarding our dog here for a long weekend she came back in a positive, yet tired, manner showing she had been well engaged/exercised. Staff were polite and open throughout will definitely use again
